Meet The Teams

As Manager of England I’m proud to say we are building a squad that is looking to BRING IT HOME ! We have all brought into the idea that this is a proud occasion to be taking part in to help our veterans that unfortunately are struggling in life and as a group we are hoping to represent the country with pride. The squad is being built up of veterans that have represented our country in football across all services including combined.

Supporting veterans through football by participating in or organizing fundraisers as part of the League of Heroes and the forthcoming World Cup. The teams get togethers help in their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The League of Heroes World Cup 2025 is an event aimed at supporting homeless veterans through football. It brings together Armed Forces veterans' football teams from around the world, including the Scotland HM Forces National Team. The event not only fosters camaraderie but also aims to raise significant funds for homeless charities.

In 2019 together with the AAVSNI Charity in Northern Ireland. The TRI SERVICES Football Team was formed. This was used as a platform to allow a group of veterans to get together and play friendly games and enjoy the company of like minded people. Since formed the team has been on two tours of Glasgow, Scotland & Newcastle, England. The Northern Ireland Armed Forces Veterans FC who will be representing NI in the World Cup, will be using the learns from this squad to form a team to play in the tournament. This squad will be made up of NI veterans from all of the armed forces.

Wales are delighted to be competing in the first ever Veterans World Cup. The proud military heritage of this country means we have a significant military community and this tournament provides an opportunity to bring together like minded veterans to form a strong squad and challenge for the trophy in May 2025. Football brings people together and this competition provides a focus for ex Service people to give back and try and make a difference for those brothers and sisters who struggle with life as a civilian. We will be looking to make as much noise and raise as much money for this charity as we can and will do our utmost to surprise the big boys and bring home the trophy!

The U.S.A. Armed Services Veterans continue to grow a healthy body and mind while competing through sport and proposing awareness to others that we can still support our fellow friends and loved ones in our communities.  For this event, all proceeds raised by the U.S.A. Armed Services goes to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund (CFSRF.org) to ensure that our fellow veterans that have fallen or can no longer receive support do so for their children. Our Veterans thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to take on our Allies and Friends of other Nations and grow the sport and our mutual respect.

The Jamaica Veterans Football Team feels honoured to be invited to compete in the inaugural League of Heroes Armed Forces Veterans World Cup in 2025. We fully support the aims of LoH to help homeless brothers and sisters who have served in the military and are now experiencing hard times. Our team comprises ex Troopers from the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and soldiers who have served in the British Armed Forces. We are proud to be participating in the tournament and will do our best to make it a memorable competition that spectators enjoyed.

Team Nepal made of ex Gurkhas living in the UK. We want to give back to those who have served the country, recognizing their sacrifices and challenges. Engaging in football helps bring people together, fostering camaraderie and a sense of belonging among veterans and supporters.  Football encourages physical activity, which can be beneficial for veterans' mental and physical well-being.  Participation helps highlight issues faced by veterans, such as mental health and reintegration into civilian life. The events help raise funds for various programs that support veterans and their families.

The men's team currently has a squad of 25 soldiers from all branches of the armed forces. The BFN is a means of public relations for the Bundeswehr and contributes to the Bundeswehr's reputation in the public eye. Former top athletes also often take part in charity matches. It also serves to recruit young talent while also supporting charitable causes. It supports projects and campaigns in the form of charity matches. Internationally, it represents Germany in military competitions as part of the Conseil International du Sport Militaire ( CISMConseil International du Sport Militaire).
